Sam bounced into his classroom holding Mr. Moose's little hand in his as he put his backpack one of the little hanger close to the door.
He skipped over to his seat and sat down next to Castiel who was reading a some kinda picture book.
"Good morning Cas", Sam said smiling at him as he set Mr. Moose down facing the table in his lap as he pulled himself into the desk.
"Good morning Sam, Mr. Moose", Castiel said looking up from his book nodding his head to the both of them in turn.
"I wonder what Miss. Becky has planned for today", Sam said bouncing in his set – because the day before their teacher had told the class that she had a wonder
Sam watched Castiel for a few moments, waiting until the door had closed behind the angel before turning away and settling back into the wooden chair he’d been sitting in. A bottle of whiskey and a glass sat in front of him, the bottle just under half full. It had been full when Sam had started drinking after depositing Dean on his bed. Pouring a couple fingers into the glass, Sam drank it down quickly, hissing quietly at the burn. Even after how much he’d drunk, it still felt like fire traveling down his throat. Then again, that could be from the screams that had wracked him.
“I can’t believe this is what it took aft
Sam reached out his hands shacking slightly move them towards the golden eyed infant who was watching him closely with almost unblinking eyes.
Slowly Sam picked the infant up under its tiny chubby little arms and holding him close to his chest he looked over at his brother who was giving him a look that both could be read that he could not chose between laughing his head off at what he was seeing or maybe if he should really be concerned what was even going on.
"Dean what are we going to do – I mean if this really is...well...you know – Gabriel", Sam started saying as he looked down at the infant in his arms that glared up at him
It was finally over. Metatron was safely locked away in Heaven’s dungeons and Castiel had unlocked the gates of Heaven. Well, not Castiel himself but he’d suggested it. The other angels had taken it for an order and reversed what Metatron had done. All the souls that had been stuck in the veil were slowly being ferried up into Heaven, the place stretching to accommodate each soul’s personal heaven. But one soul was missing, the one soul Castiel dearly wanted to see. He’d waited as long as he could in Heaven, studying each soul as it appeared with a Reaper at its side. But none of them were Dean. And finally, Castiel co
Slowly, ever so slowly, Castiel smoothed a gentle hand over light brown hair. He still couldn’t quite believed they’d ended here though, looking back, each and every step seemed simply inevitable. Maybe this outcome was fated from the first moment Cain had passed the Mark to Dean. Brushing a few locks off a smooth forehead, Castiel felt tears gathering in his eyes. They were hot, burning at the edges of his lids. A twisting in his gut accompanied them, a pain that almost had him doubling over from the sheer strength of it.
“You stupid son of a bitch,” he murmured, meeting staring green eyes. There was anger in his voi
There are a thousand reasons
Why this is a supremely bad idea.
Starting with black eyes and
Going on to the damned Blade.
Now, when the King of Hell beckons,
You jump to his call without a thought.
You run where he points, worse,
You kill whoever he demands.
To say nothing of family
Those who believe you are dead.
Grieving and left behind,
Not knowing you've become the monster.
A thousand reasons and every one
More compelling than the last.
You were at peace, finally,
Before the Mark claimed your soul.
Sam headed into the kitchen and nodded at Kevin. He nodded back, gesturing with a spatula to the plates of food sitting on the table. Sam poured himself a glass of orange juice then sat down, spooning egg and bacon onto an empty plate. He expected to see Dean and Cas soon though wouldn’t wait for them. He was still ravenously hungry after the trial though it still did seem to be getting better. At least he didn’t feel like he was going to fade away from sheer hunger anymore.
“So, who was that?” Kevin asked once the last batch of eggs was finished. He dumped them onto the half-full plate on the table and sat down himse
“And you just walked away from the accident without a scratch?” Sam asked Marie Ambrose, the first person Sam had noticed in the newspaper. Of course, it could just be a coincidence but luck like that was often no coincidence. They’d already tested her for possession by the simple expedient of splashing a little holy water on Sam’s palm before she’d opened the door. Shaking Sam’s hand had merely resulted in Marie wiping her hand on her jeans and inviting the Winchesters in.
“Yes, I couldn’t believe it, Mr. Smith,” Marie told Sam, smiling in bemused wonder. “In the first second or so
“I thought you said he would never sense the extra power in the spell?” Pam yelled as they ran, dodging flashes of light that vaporized whatever they struck.
“I said it was a calculated risk!” Naomi screamed back, ducking her head as a ball of light exploded just above her. “I never expected Metatron to recover so quickly from the sigil. Had he still been dazed by it, he never would have known about the spell!”
“Can we assign blame later?” Ellen cut in, panting hard as she ran. “We need to worry about surviving now.”
“Where can we go now?” Bobby asked, breath wheezing
